Strobeascope Piece
strobascope edit from Ryan Tailby on Vimeo.
for my strobeascope project i found this piece a little challenging. having come up with an initial idea it was hard to figure out how i was going to make the pieces, i was torn between painting the fire or using other materials. In the end i decided to use plasticine but that posted a new threat as it took me a long while to perfect just 1 of my 20 fire pieces. But finally i would say it stands for itself although this may have been time consuming i enjoyed and completed the pieces and the end product was well worth it.

Foley Project, Nightmare Before Christmas
Nightmare Before Christmas from Ryan Tailby on Vimeo.
This project was my favourite to date, we were handed a film clip with the sound cut off and we had to observe the clip and create the sounds ourselves with a recorder, i loved recording all the sounds because we were able to use our imagination and exaggerate the best we could. Ultimately the final piece we made came out far better than i expected and was so pleased with the work and effort gone into it.

Strobeascope Project 2nd example
MTV EMA 2012 Opener from Sehsucht on Vimeo.
this is another strobeascope example but this one is so well thought out and perfected it looks like an actual film, it takes away the illusion of a Scrobeascope.
Strobeascope Project example
i was shown this youtube clip of Pixar's Scrobeascope and i was amazed! i naturally love Toy Story and to see this Scrobascope and see all the cartoons come to life and move infront of me was so exciting. The perfect example of a well thought out and perfect Scrobeascope.
